Here at Kegel, the beginning of a new year also marks the beginning of a new tournament season. Kegel is the official lane maintenance provider for all major governing bodies for the sport of bowling. Our team goes through a rigorous process to make sure that our equipment is ready to withstand the upcoming tournament season.

Over the course of the year, we use multiple lane machines in various tournaments. Before these lane machines ship to the venue, a thorough check-up of each machine is completed. The start of a new year may be a good time for you to check up on your machine to make sure that your machine is operating correctly before the league season starts back up. Below, you will find key components to check on your lane machine.

Inspection of vital components:

·       Buffer Brush

·       Transfer Brush

·       Belts

·       Squeegee Blades

·       Motors

·       Chain

·       Drive Wheels

Check all inputs and outputs of your lane machine to make sure that everything is operating properly.

Mechanical adjustments:

·       Squeegee Blade Crush and Angle

·       Transfer Brush Crush

·       Buffer Brush to Roller Crush

·       Buffer Brush to the Lane Crush

Often these adjustments are overlooked and may cause cleaning issues or pattern inconsistencies.

Lane Machine Calibrations:

·       Oil Pump Calibration

·       Cleaner Pump Calibration

·       Drive Speed Calibration

Calibrations should be performed frequently to ensure the consistency of your patterns.
