WINTER LEAGUES ARE WINDING DOWN
Winter leagues are coming to an end and most of the bowling centers are looking at a good timeframe to do necessary maintenance after a long season. We hope that your centers had a successful league season with a lot of happy bowlers.
Summer season is usually a little less busy, which allows for more in depth maintenance of your lane machines and pinsetters. As a reminder, Kegel Mechanics Klub features a lot of instructional and troubleshooting videos to help you replace various parts in your lane machine or pinsetter.
KEEPING YOUR CENTER CLEAN
Overall bowling center cleanliness is crucial in today’s environment. With the high-volume oil patterns of today, keeping the pinsetters clean is more important than ever. With the high amount of lineage from winter leagues, carpet covers in your Model A or A-2 machine, most likely, took a beating. Worn or dirty covers will slow down bowling pin transfer and allow dirt and oil from the bowling balls to be moved to critical areas of the pinsetter. This can result in increased machine stops and unhappy bowlers.
The Slippery Carpet Cover from Kegel (part # 162-6188) uses a flat weave that produces a slick surface that allows the pins to move off the pit board quickly. They are durable and easy to clean in a washing machine. Carpet covers should be removed and cleaned at least once per week (more often if you are a high lineage center).
