SUMMER SEASON

Whether you spent some time on vacation or put efforts to improving or upgrading your bowling center, we hope that you have had a great summer. This time frame is usually very busy for everyone here at Kegel. Our lane maintenance team has been putting a lot of work at many tournaments all around the World. Kegel sales team has been visiting our distributors and participating at various tradeshows. Finally, majority of Kegel employees also participated at the International Bowl Expo where we have announced the launch of the Atlas – World’s First Smart Lane Machine!

GET READY FOR THE WINTER LEAGUES

As the winter league season is upon us, we suggest that you make sure that your bowling center is as ready as it can be. This involves the players area, approaches, pinsetters and your lane machines. Below you will find some tips that can help you prepare better:

• Check your parts inventory. Make sure you have critical parts of your pinsetter or lane machine stocked and easily accessible. Spare parts are critical to the operation of your bowling center and can be the difference between a great experience for your guests or a nightmare.

• Before all league bowlers return to your bowling center, take some time to check the seating area. Look for loose anchor bolts and cracked seats. Problems like these will only get worse when a heavy influx of people arrive at the bowling center. Repairing the seating will make for a better experience for the bowlers and might avoid a serious accident.

• Check the oil levels in your pinsetters before the busy league season starts. A serious breakdown could be avoided if you take the time to check the oil levels in your gearboxes.

• Go over your lane machine and observe how it operates. Thoroughly clean the machine. Make sure the critical parts of the machine are operating correctly and are in good condition. Calibrate your oil and cleaner pumps and make sure your lane machine is stripping the lane properly. Lastly, calibrate your drive speeds.

• Check your pattern in the machine and make sure that your house pattern is what you want it to be. If you have doubts about your pattern structure, feel free to contact our technicians. Remember to use the 7-Day Planner and schedule your oiling session in advance.
