January 2022
2022 is the year of preparedness
On behalf of everyone here at Kegel we would like to wish all our members a happy and healthy 2022! While the upcoming year might hold new difficulties in our industry, it will hopefully have some happy surprises as well.
The supply chain issues that are happening around the world have certainly been a challenge for everyone. With that in mind, it is even more important to start planning those summer projects earlier.
Plan those big projects keeping in mind that you might have to order the parts as early as January. You also may have to use more than one vendor to complete the inventory needed for major overhauls. Reach out to your distributors ahead of time when doing a major rebuild to allow them to stock the parts you need. We at Kegel have been working diligently to maintain our inventory level of both model A/A-2 and GS style parts as well as our vast inventory of parts for lane maintenance machines and chemicals.
While pinsetter, lane machines and the lanes themselves are a high priority, you should start thinking about scheduling maintenance for the other important parts of your business. Contractors that handle your heating and cooling, roof repair and other vital areas of your center can be scheduled early to allow them to service your center once the weather allows.
As the supply chain slowly returns to normal, please be patient, plan ahead, and try to be flexible. We at Kegel will do our best to make your 2022 a great year by providing the best in products and support.
Going forward into next year we plan on expanding the help video and flowchart sections that will hopefully continue to assist people in the field. We also look forward to the various contributions that our members have made in regard to maintenance, technical tips, and troubleshooting. The goal of this site was to provide as much accurate and beneficial information as possible to existing bowling personnel but more importantly to the new people that are entering our industry. We thank all of you for your support and wish everyone a very Happy New Year.
